Netcafe Translate tools (7)
write = sends, deletes, buys or postscheck_grammarFreeCheck text for grammar, spelling and style issues in 30+ languages (self-hosted LanguageTool). Returns each issue with a suggested replacement — apply them to produce corrected text. Example — GET https://ainetcafe.com/t/check_grammar?text=Their+going+to+the+park
check_jobFreeGet the status or result of a job started by deep_research, translate_pdf, or make_slides. Poll every 15-30 seconds until status is "done" or "error". While work is pending, follow retry_after_seconds and next_action; when complete, prefer structured_result when present. Example — GET https://ainetcafe.com/t/check_job?job_id=<id-from-a-job-tool>
translate_i18n_jsonFreeTranslate an i18n JSON locale file, keeping the key structure identical and placeholders ({name}, {{count}}, %s, HTML tags) intact. Pass existing_json to translate only the keys that are missing from it — the incremental sync people usually hand-roll a script for.
translate_pdfFreeTranslate a PDF from a URL while preserving the original layout — formulas, figures and two-column academic typesetting stay intact, unlike ordinary translators that flatten the document. Returns a job_id; poll check_job for the download links (translated-only and bilingual side-by-side). Typically 20-60 seconds for a few pages. Powered by PDFMathTranslate (36k stars) hosted at AI NetCafé. Example — tools/call translate_pdf {"url":"<pdf-url>","target":"zh"} → poll check_job
translate_srtFreeTranslate an .srt subtitle file into another language while keeping every timestamp and cue number byte-identical. Cues are anchored by index and refilled in code, so the timeline cannot drift — the usual failure mode when you hand a whole .srt to a model.
translate_textFreeTranslate text between languages using a self-hosted LibreTranslate engine (fully offline, no big-tech API). For whole PDFs with layout preserved, use translate_pdf instead. Example — GET https://ainetcafe.com/t/translate_text?text=hello+world&to=zh
what_can_you_doFreeDescribe a task in plain language (any language) and get back exactly which tools on this server do it, with ready-to-run example calls — instead of reading the whole catalogue and guessing. Also returns multi-step recipes when a task needs several tools chained (invoices to a ledger, a bank statement reconciled, a messy CSV turned into a deliverable). Deterministic and free: it calls no model, costs nothing, and never runs out of quota. Call this FIRST when you are not sure what this server offers.

What the publisher says
From the Netcafe Translate repository's README, as published. We do not edit it. Read it on GitHub
ai-netcafe
Hosted tools your agent can call over MCP — and a claim you can check in one command:
curl "https://ainetcafe.com/t/china_reachability?url=https://github.com"{
"url": "https://github.com",
"tested_from": "mainland China (China Mobile backbone)",
"verdict": "unreachable: timeout (common signature of blocking or a very slow route)"
}That request was answered by a machine actually sitting on a Chinese backbone network. A monitor hosted anywhere else can only tell you GitHub is up where it is — which is not the question you were asking. That is the kind of thing we host: capabilities that are hard to get, rather than wrappers around ones that aren't.
Four focused servers
One agent profile rarely needs both spreadsheet cleanup and the Chinese lunar calendar, and every tool description costs tokens on every session. So the catalogue is served as four focused MCP endpoints — connect the one you need and pay the context cost of nothing else.
All four are in the official MCP registry as com.ainetcafe/netcafe-tables, -devkit, -docflow and -china.
Nothing in these four calls a language model or a third-party API. They compute on our own servers, so results are deterministic and repeatable — and they cannot break because someone else changed their API.
Numbers come with their own proof
Anything involving counts or money returns an arithmetic check computed in code, not asserted by a model:
// reconcile_ledger: your books vs the bank statement
{
"total_a": 105.30, "total_b": 106.80, "gap": -1.50,
"only_in_a": [{ "key": "B", "amount": 5.00 }],
"only_in_b": [{ "key": "C", "amount": 7.00 }],
"mismatched": [{ "key": "A3", "a": 100.00, "b": 99.50, "diff": 0.50 }],
"arithmetic_check": {
"formula": "A 105.3 − B 106.8 = -1.5; differences explain -1.5",
"checks_out": true
}
}If checks_out is false, the response says the result is untrustworthy instead of handing back a table that looks finished. Amounts are compared in integer cents, so 0.1 + 0.2 never invents a difference for someone to go chase.
