MCP servers for Kubernetes and infrastructure

Inspect clusters, containers and infrastructure from an agent.

An infrastructure server is only as careful as the context it inherits. Most of these read whatever kubeconfig or cloud profile is already on the machine, which means the agent starts wherever you last were, and that is often production.

Before you install one

Three things that separate the servers here, none of which shows up in a description.

Read or apply?
Describing pods and reading logs is a different job from applying manifests and scaling deployments, and plenty of servers do both from one tool list. If you want an agent that explains an outage rather than causes one, point it at a read-only context.
Which cluster is it pointed at?
A server that uses your current context will talk to whatever you last used. Give it its own kubeconfig with one cluster and one namespace in it, rather than trusting that the agent will name the right one.
Secrets come back readable.
A get-secret tool returns base64, which is encoding, not encryption, and the value lands in the conversation. If the server can read secrets, assume every secret it can reach has been read.

Every listing below has a scan report saying what the server asks for and what it does with it. The rubric is on how we grade.

The Kubernetes and infrastructure servers we would look at first

Reviewed servers rank first, then the ones with real adoption. At most two per publisher, so no account can fill the list. Nothing here is sponsored.

Or try them without installing any

Add the gateway once and your agent runs search "kubernetes", reads the grades, and calls the one it picks. Nothing to install per server, and an F-graded server cannot be reached through it.
